The world has changed today. Technology has become an integral part of all walks of life. Digital twin is a contemporary concept of mirroring the real world in its digital counterpart. Several of the characteristics, activities, features, functions, and the working of the real are created in the digital space. Digital twins are evolving increasingly into cyberphysical systems.
Gurukul assumes a new meaning when the boundaries of the physical and digital worlds are dissolving. The modern day Gurukul transforms on the foundation of digital technology.
Sanmedha Academy seeks to build a modern day Gurukul with an engaging and immersive learning environment driven by a bundle of innovative technologies to help learners in their development journey. The unique ‘active learning resource’ brings together the content, continuous stream of curated practice contexts, learners’ activities and gurus’ mentoring into a single digital space. Sanmedha’s unique technology platform helps build the essentials of the digital twin for lifelong learning and development.
What is Sanmedha?
Sanmedha is a combination of two Sanskrit words, "Sat" and "Medha".
"Medha" is a unique word that has no direct translation to English. Built on the explanation of the Medha Suktam, the word "Medha" connotes a distinct fusion of knowledge, experience, intellect, creativity, hard work and skill. The goddess Medha is considered as a form of Saraswathi, who is commonly worshipped as the goddess of learning. The term medha is used to refer to the capabilities of memory, intelligence and power of discrimination, which are essential for the study of all knowledge.
"Sat", as defined in 'A Practical Sanskrit Dictionary', is a common prefix in Sanskrit literature, which variously implies "that which is good, true, genuine, virtuous, being, happening, real, existing, enduring, lasting, or essential".
Sanmedha encompasses the virtuous, noble pursuit of excellence in intellect, creativity, knowledge and experience.
